Billy Kerr Sportive Saturday 16 August

Friday, August 8, 2014
There is now less than two weeks to the Billy Kerr Sportive on Saturday 16th August with Sean Kelly. Advance entry (fee £30) is available on line at www.ballymenaroadclub.co.uk
Those entering in advance will be included in a prize draw for a Vitus Razor road bike courtesy of our sponsor Chain Reaction Cycles. Entries will also be accepted on the day of the event but won’t be included in the draw.
Riders will receive a Chain Reaction Cycles goodie bag, and be entitled to refreshments during the cycle and at the finish location. Furthermore all finishers will received a high quality medal and a contribution from each entrant will go towards the chosen charity NI Children's Hospice. Mechanical and medical support will be provided at the event.
Sean Kelly will be attending the sign on event held at the ECOS centre on Friday 15th August at 7.30pm and he will be available to take questions, select a winner for the bike prize draw and pose for photos with participants. Anybody not riding on the sportive and wishing to attend the pre-sign on event can make a donation of £10.
Maps and more details of the event can be obtained at the sportive  www.facebook.com/BillyKerrSportive.
On Saturday 16th August, riders can start from 8am to 9:30am. Riders doing the 150km route are encouraged to start first and will go out in groups of 40.
Notice for all helpers for Bill Kerr Sportive
A final planning meeting is arranged for Monday 11th August at 7.30pm in the club house to make final arrangements for the Bill Kerr Sportive. All volunteers already contacted are encouraged to attend. While we encourage as many club members to cycle the event, if there are members who are not able to ride, their help with any of the above tasks would be appreciated. We plan to have riders leaving the ECOS centre in groups of 40 and we would like a number of club members to be a group leaders especially those who rode the sportive routes recently.
