Tommy fastest in club 10

Tommy Wilson was fastest in last Wednesday evening's Ballymena Road Club – Northstone – 10 miles time trial at Woodgreen.

Tommy recorded a time of 23 minutes 37 seconds on a very windy evening, on the A26 Antrim road course, to beat fellow veteran Derek Dougan (23.50) by 13 seconds. Adrian Kerr was third with 24.29 while David Kennedy and David McClean tied for fourth when they both recorded 25.01. Handicap. Nigel Kernohan was the only rider to show an improvement on the night and his time of 25.34 was 40 seconds faster than his previous best time of 26.14 recorded on 20th April. He won the handicap section with a nett time of 23 minutes 20 seconds. Another newcomer, Peter Smyth was second on handicap with a nett time of 24.01 (3) Martin McKernan 24.07 (4) Leo McCavana 24.20 (5) David Kennedy 24.32 (6) Stephen Smyth 24.34

Nigel Kernohan and Ryan Currie are equal first in the handicap league after the first three rounds. They have 9 points, Adrian Kerr is third on 8 points, while there is a three way tie between Peter Smyth David Kennedy and Bobby Currie for fourth, and they each have 6 points.
