Eileen is ladies 50 miles champion

Eileen Burns won the Ulster ladies 50 miles time trial championship at Woodgreen on Sunday morning, when she recorded 2 hours 11 minutes 13 seconds, for a decisive winning margin of 9 minutes 16 seconds over second placed Lisa Millar (Dromara) 2.20.29. Bernie Monaghan (Dromara) was third in 2.22.25.
S McIntyre (Orchard) won the men’s championship in 1.47.44 (2) John Madden (Curran) 1.48.09 (3) J Heverin (Clan Eireann) 1.48.39
Best for Ballymena was Steven Workman, in fourth place, with 1.53.16.
The other BRC times were Matthew Brennan 2.00.06: Ryan Currie 2.03.00: Jason Burns 2.04.12: and Tommy Wilson 2.05.53.
Ballymena just missed out on the team championship medals after finishing just 17 seconds slower than the winners Ballymoney. Thanks to Andy Wills for this result.
