On Saturday 10 May, stage 2 of the Giro d'Italia will come through Ballymena. Roads will close from 09:30 to 12:30 for pre-events and the race to take place. The actual race should be going through the town just before midday. 

The proposed route entails:

• A26 from Antrim
• Seven Towers Roundabout
• Antrim Road
• Queens Street
• Harryville Bridge
• North Road
• Ballymoney Road
• A26 to Ballymoney

The council and BRC would appreciate it very much if all club members, friends and family can help provide a guard of honour on Harryville Bridge. We have invested in a large banner along with balloons in the Giro colours to be placed near or on the bridge.
