Ballymena Road Club riders William Loughridge and Ryan Bankhead were amongst the results in last weekend’s road races

Saturday’s Lakeland Grand Prix, in Co Fermanagh, was held over a tough forty five mile circuit which included a five mile climb. The weather, while cool, dry and sunny was nevertheless very windy as the race skirted Lough Erne. 
The A3 riders’ event came down to a bunch sprint which was won by Luke Hylands of TVR from Nathan Mullan of Dromara and James Wilson of Apollo.
William Loughridge of Ballymena took fourth.

On Sunday Ryan Bankhead finished fifth in the "A” race at the Mid Ulster GP at Cookstown.
The A race saw the A3’s getting a four minute advantage over the A1''s and 2''s. 
Two riders rode clear with Angus Fyffe getting the win ahead of Ali Gribbon of Carn Wheelers. The remaining places came down to a bunch sprint with Potts taking third ahead of Gareth McCullough of Newry Wheelers. Ryan Bankhead of Ballymena proved he has lost none of his old sprinting prowess when he got up in the gallop to take fifth.
