Annaclone GP this Saturday - 22 Feb 2014

Monday, February 17, 2014
The Ballymena Road Club – Chain Reaction Cycles – racing section will see if all their pre-season training has been good enough when they take part in this Saturday’s, 22nd February, eagerly awaited, Travers Engineering, Annaclone Grand Prix road races in County Down.
This is always a very popular event, as its relatively short distance of 40 miles, combined the fact that all categories are catered for, makes it a very attractive first outing of the new season.
There will be three races this year, including an A1/A2 race as well as separate races for A3's and A4's. This will allow riders in these latter two categories to take early season points.
Signing on will be from 10 am until 11:30 am sharp at the Hawthorn Inn, Annaclone. Riders who have pre-registered but have not signed on by 11:30 am will forfeit their place to those on the reserve list. The first race will start at 12 noon.
The 2013 Annaclone Grand Prix road races saw Ballymena Road Club Chain Reaction Cycles field four entrants: Karl Taylor, Quinton McFall, Matthew Brennan and Clifford Grant they were in contention during the early laps but failed to achieve a top ten finish.
The 2013 winner of the A race, for A1 A2 and A3riders, was Marc Potts (Omagh Wheelers) while the B race for A4 riders was won by David Hamilton (Curran Racing)
