The final race of the BRC Northstone sponsored club race series is scheduled to take place at Glarryford on Wednesday 14th August at 7pm, when the Will Henry cup road race will be held over four laps, 20 miles of the Dunminning circuit. Tommy Wilson leads the road racing league series with 45 points while Ryan Bankhead is second on 39 points and Connor Young third with 33. 
The youths will be in action on the same circuit and they will be competing for the Sandy Spence cup. David Kennedy is chief marshall on Wednesday night and he will be assisted by Richard Reid, John Walker, Peter Cuthbert and Trevor and Harry Thompson.
 
Sunday 18th August.
The annual Bann Valley Road Club Marie Curie charity cycle, The Tour of the North Coast, takes place on Sunday next 18th August.
The start will be from Portglenone Community Centre at 10am with sign on from 9.30. The fee will be £10.00 with an extra £2.00 for a day licence for non-Cycling Ireland members.
The route this year will take the cyclists from Portglenone through Rasharkin, Ballymoney, and Bushmills to the north coast and from there to Portrush, Portstewart, Coleraine and back to Portglenone, with refreshments available at the halfway point. On their return to Portglenone the cyclists will be able to avail of the customary sandwiches, cakes, buns and biscuits and the cups of coffee and tea.
Saturday 24th August.
Ballymena RC will hold their Blair International Transport Red Hand Trophy road race. This year the entrants will assemble at Rex Bonar House and cycle out Ballymoney road and Grove road to the official start on the Cushendall road. Then it’s out to McGregor’s corner and a left turn to join the original route on the road to Clough.
The rest of the race takes in Corkey, Loughguille, Glenshesk, Ballycastle, Cushendall, Carnlough. Then it’s up Glencloy from the coast and the fast run in through the Braid to the finish at Broughshane
