Friday 3rd August. Michelin Team BibSport invite you to a Table Quiz in the Ladysmith Arms, Galgorm Road (opposite PSNI Station) on Friday 3rd August at 7.30pm £5 per person, teams of 4-6.
Proceeds in aid of Breast Cancer Research. Michelin Team BibSport have raised over £30,000 during the past 12 years cycling from Mullingar to Galway and back with Lakeside Wheelers, Mullingar in their 'Into the West' cycle challenge. Further information from Stuart Knowles 07842879010
Saturday 4th August Madigan Grand Prix.
Madigan Cycling Club, Carrickfergus will promote the 24th Madigan Cycles Grand Prix at Kilroot near Carrickfergus Co. Antrim starting at 11.00am. The race is again sponsored by Ronnie McKeegan of Madigan Cycles and also Carrickfergus Borough Council. A generous prize fund of £600 is up for grabs. The 55 miles, 3 lap (A) Race for A+, A1, A2, A3 riders will have cash prizes for the first 6 over the line plus first unplaced in each category. The (B) Race for A4 category will be 2 laps = 36 miles. The Ladies will have their own race and again it will be 2 laps. We also welcome back the Masters category for 2 laps. Entry fees are £10. Sign-On is from 9.45am.
Sunday 5th August, Ballymena Road Club’s touring section riders will take part in their annual "Martin’s tour to Carnfunnock.” This is the one day of the year when a very relaxing, inclusive ride takes place and everyone who starts out from Rex Bonar House will be taken care of throughout the 55 miles event.
