Club and CI Membership now due!
Club Membership Renewal for Ballymena Road Club is now due. For anyone not renewing club membership through the Cycling Ireland website, payments can be made through Club Secretary, Alastair Petticrew 07890212409. The price is now £20 for the year.
Cycling Ireland Memberships are due for renewal for anyone who has a Leisure, limited competition or full competition licence. Renewal date was 31st December. It is important that you have this renewed if you are on the road which allows you cover by insurance from 1st January 2021. Please make sure your membership is up to date – this is essential for everyone.
1. Limited Competition (LC) licence allows you to compete in all domestic competition except open road races. This licence would cover you for events in disciplines such as Track, BMX, Off-Road, Time-Trials, Hill-Climbs, Club Racing and Club Leagues. This type of licence is available for adults over the age of 18. Under Eight (U8) and Under 10 (U10) Youth licences are also classed as Limited Competition licences. The Limited Competition licence is £82. This includes a £10 levy from Cycling Ulster.
2. Full Competition licence (Open Licence) allows you to enter open road races as well as all the various disciplines listed above. Full Competition licences are available to adults over the age of 18. Under 12 (U12), Under 14 (U14), Under 16 (U16) and Junior (JR) Licences are also classed as Full Competition licences. For riders in the U12 & U14 categories the cost is £18. For riders in the U16 category the cost is £32. For riders in the Junior category the cost is £45 for club members. For adults the cost is £132 for club members.
3. Leisure Cycling licence – this will provide cover and allow you to ride your bike whilst training and participating in leisure events. The cost is £50.
4. Example(s) of Total Membership Cost:
- Leisure Adult Member = £70 (£20 Club + £50 Cycling Ireland).
- Limited Competition Member = £102 (£20 Club + £82 Cycling Ireland).
- Full Competition Adult = £152 = (£20 Club + £132 Cycling Ireland)
