Club Racing planned Restart

Following the announcement by Cycling Ulster yesterday that Club Racing can commence from 17th July 2020, BRC Race Committee have been making plans regarding the 'Restart'. As a result, we have released a 'Draft' Race Calendar (below), and have introduced restrictions and guidelines for when racing recommences.

 

A further Race Committee Meeting is planned for Monday 6th July, at which further details will be agreed, so keep checking this website and the BRC Facebook Page for updates.

Draft Restart Race Calendar 2020 (Post COVID19)

 

22nd July          -          Stan Finlay Memorial 10 TT -            Frocess Road

 

29th July           -          Ernie Mark Cup 25 TT -                     Frocess Road

 

5th August       -          Gardiner Cup 10 TT -                         Frocess Road

 

12th August     -          Combat Cancer Cup 25 TT -               Frocess Road

 

BRC 3 Day (Ballymena Borough Council Cup):

-          17th August -         Sammy Connor Cup -             Sheddings Course

-          18th August -         5 TT -                                      Frocess Road

-          19th August -         Will Henry Cup -                    Glarryford

26th August     -          BRC Club Championship -     Caddy Course

 

2nd September -           Sammy Gaston Cup -              Glarryford

 

    Tommy Smyth Cup will be awarded for the Road Bike BAR (10 & 25 TT) for 2020 0nly.

     Club BAR will be calculated on 10 & 25 TT only for 2020.

     No 50 TT will take place this year.

     Ballymena Road Club members only will be permitted to participate in the above events. No visiting riders.

     Only riders who have pre-registered and paid online (using Paypal) will be allowed to participate strictly no signing on, on the night of the event.

     TTs riders will not be given numbers to wear on the night of the event. Riders must shout their number out to the timekeeper as they cross the finish line.

    Social distancing rules must be adhered to at all times.



Prior to all events, participants and officials must ensure that the following guidelines are adhered to:
