Fantastic Achievement for Ryan in Mizen to Malin!

30 April 2018

BRC rider Ryan McNeilly and 8 other club members successfully completed their Mizen to Malin Challenge yesterday, in aid of the Children's Cancer Unit, at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast.

At just after 3pm yesterday the group rolled up to Malin Head, in Donegal after 376 miles and over a day's riding to complete the gruelling challenge of cycling from the most southerly point in Ireland, to the most northerly. What a fantastic achievement for them all, we are all immensely proud of you all!!

The group had a very challenging start to their ride with very wet weather in the first 100 miles. However, the last section was ridden in bright sunshine from Muff, through Carndonagh and on to Malin village.

After completing the ride, Ryan McNeilly, the man responsible for organising the challenge said: 'Now that we're done and we're home, I'd like to let you all know how much this weekend has meant to me. Great bunch of people, and everyone's commitment to the cycle was unreal!'.

The Challenge has raised well over £5000 so far for a very worthy cause.

A fantastic well done to Ryan and the rest of the team, including the support crew!
