Eileen Burns is 2017 BRC Road Race Champion!

Wednesday, July 5, 2017
Tonight saw 16 riders sign on to compete in the Ballymena Road Club 2017 Road Race Championship, over 2 laps of the Ahoghill - Largy Road - Kilnock circuit. The small field set off at a relentless pace, mainly driven by Luke McMullan and Eileen Burns from the front, with the field whittled down to just 7 riders by the second lap. On the final ascent of the Largy Road, Eileen Burns made her move and broke clear, staying away until the finish to take the win. Luke McMullan won the sprint for 2nd place from the chasing bunch.

Eileen becomes the first ever BRC female rider to be crowned BRC Road Race Champion!
