Ulster 35 mile Time Trail Championships

Woodgreen is the venue for this Sunday’s, 11th September, Ulster 25 miles
time trial championship. Registration will take place from 8am with the first rider off at 9am.

Ballymena Road Club –  Northstone – cyclist Matthew Brennan, won the Ulster junior 25 miles time trial championship at the same Woodgreen venue last season when he recorded a winning time of 58 minutes 28 seconds. Matthew has just recently returned from a month’s racing and training in Belgium so he should be in top condition for the race. (See his report from Belgium below)

Louise Fullerton clocked 66 minutes 05 seconds to take the silver medal in the ladies championship last season while Steven Workman, who was riding his first championship, recorded an excellent time of 55 minutes 04 seconds for seventh place.

John Heverin (Clann Eireann) who had a super-fast time of 53 minutes 00 seconds won the senior title and he will again start as one of the favourites having won the Ulster 10 miles championship at Woodgreen on 28th August

Ballymena Road Club –  Northstone – youth section riders held their "postponed”  APR race at Ahoghill last Monday evening. Josh Barr won by 23 seconds in a time of 21 minutes 56 seconds with Adam Kerr second and Chris Surgeoner third at 44 seconds. (4) Emma Gordon at 61 seconds.
