This Wednesday night 8th July, sees the Ballymena Road Club - Chain Reaction Cycles – road race championships being raced over 6 laps of the Lisnamurrican circuit in Broughshane, which is undoubtedly the club’s toughest circuit.  The club’s race secretary David Dougan says "There will be a couple of surprises in store for the riders in relation to the start and finish which should hopefully see some aggressive racing. This includes a change of finish from the normal one on the Lisnamurrican circuit. The race will move off from the same place as usual but be neutralised to the top of the Caherty Road at its junction with Lisnamurrican Road on the first lap.

The race finish will also be in this area. No visitors are allowed to take part as this is the only race on our calendar which is closed to BRC members only. It also doesn't count towards the club’s road racing league (as it was when it was held in conjunction with the Sammy Connor Cup) it is now an extra stand-alone event.”

David also asks that anyone who is not competing and who is available to help marshal should please come along and support the riders and help run off a good, safe race.
