This week’s club race, in the Northstone series, is the Tommy Talbot cup GP of the Glens 42 miles time trial which will be held on Wednesday 10th June at 6.45pm from the Ecos roundabout. 

The circuit takes in Broughshane, Carnlough, Coast road to Waterfoot and then up the six miles climb of Glenariff.

Then it’s the fast downhill swoop through Cargan, Martinstown and Rathkenny back to the finish on Fry’s road.

The chief marshals are Joan and Hugh McCullough with assistance from Peter Cuthbert, Allister Petticrew, John Mckillop, Syd Stewart, Tommy Mairs, Leo McCavana and Breandan McCavana.

Club secretary Hazel Hughes informs me that the clothing order was due to be delivered last Monday 8th June. "I will be at club on Monday 15th June if anyone needs short sleeved jerseys.” Said Hazel.

"Clifford Grant is putting an order together for everything else eg training tights, gillets, shorts, etc so pass the word if anyone wants anything ordered. A 50% deposit is required for Clifford’s order” added Hazel.

A seven event criterium race series is taking place in Northern Ireland this summer. It is sponsored by Seat Isaac Agnew, and local club Old Bleach are hosting the third leg of this series in Antrim on the evening of Tuesday 16th June. Entries opened last week at Entry Central -

The series started on Wednesday 3rd June in Newry while Londonderry, Antrim, Ards, Banbridge, Belfast and Bangor will also host a round of the series.The series is open to A1, A2, A3 and eligible junior riders.
