Last week’s Ballymena Road Club’s race in the Northstone series was to have been the Combat Cancer cup 25 miles time trial at Woodgreen. Unfortunately the race had to be postponed as the wet conditions, which caused poor visibility and low light, before the scheduled starting time were deemed to be too dangerous for racing.
This week’s race on Wednesday 3rd June it’s the Sammy Connor cup 33 miles "scratch” mass start, road race, which will be held over three laps of the Broughshane Buckna Braid Shedding’s circuit.
The chief marshal is Eileen Burns and she will be assisted by Tommy Wilson, Neil Kerr, Colin Deane, Andrew Moss, Daryl Sempey and Conor Crilly.            
League. The Connor cup event will be the third round of the club’s road racing league series for the William Smyth cup. 

The current league positions are 
(1) R Bankhead 18 points 
(2) Richard Reid 13 
(3) and (4) Tie Tommy Wilson and Gary Reid 10 points each 
(5) Matthew Brennan 9 
(6) Stephen Little 8 points.  

Next week’s club race is the Tommy Talbot cup GP of the Glens 42 miles time trial which will be held on Wednesday 10th June at 6.45pm from the Ecos roundabout. The chief marshals are Joan and Hugh McCullough with assistance from Peter Cuthbert, Allister Petticrew, John Mckillop, Syd Stewart, Tommy Mairs, Leo McCavana and Breandan McCavana.
